Eyelid aesthetic

Eyelid aesthetics is a surgical method in which the appearance of the upper and lower eyelids, which is generally age-related and occurs as a result of sagging skin and herniation of fatty tissues, is surgically corrected.

An incision is made on the upper eyelid in the natural folds of the skin and excess skin is removed. At the same time, if there is a herniation in the fatty tissues, the necessary amount of fatty tissues is removed. If there is both bagging and excess skin on the lower eyelid, the necessary amount of fatty tissue and excess skin is removed through an incision made at the eyelash border. If surgery is to be performed only for bags, an incision is made inside the eye and excess fatty tissues are removed.

Bruising and swelling occur in the first 2-3 days after eyelid surgery and decrease and disappear within 1 week. Bandages and stitches on the stitches are removed after 1 week. After the surgery, depending on the patient’s skin structure, the scars of the surgery disappear in approximately 1 month and the appearance is at its best.

After eyelid aesthetics, sagging may occur again in approximately 10 years due to the effect of gravity and facial expressions, depending on the patient’s age and skin elasticity.
